Hyper Accelerator Bootcamp

Ganpat University Incubation Centre has organised a two days workshop “Hyper Accelerator Bootcamp in collaboration with Reveille Solutions. The workshop was supported by Student Startup and Innovation Policy, Govt. of Gujarat. 9 start-ups from different areas participated in this program. Feezital, ToyMahal Services LLP, Smartprop.in, Vittorea, Tuskar AI, VrupChar, PDV EDUPVT.LTD, Flidel, Lymbeage were the ones who actively participated.

This boot camp was organised to boost the growth and to minimise the most common mistakes made by start up founders and entrepreneurs.

The resource person for this program was Prof. Nilay Goyal. He is a professor of entrepreneurship and finance, a start-up coach, and a VC investor. He has helped 400+ start-ups from 38 countries with their corporate strategy, scaling operations, and fundraising. His mentee start-ups have raised more than $350 million in funding. He has founded multiple start-up accelerators: Creative Destruction Lab at Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto, Yspace at York University, and the Hyper Accelerator program. Mr. Nilay teaches Entrepreneurship and Finance at York University and Seneca College, in Toronto, Canada. Apart from teaching, he is a partner at Nuvis Capital, a seed-stage VC fund, and the Executive Director of Hyper Accelerator. He has a prior background in the semiconductor industry and management consulting. Mr. Nilay holds a bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering from Ganpat University, India, and an MBA from the Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto, Canada.

Day 1:

The first day started with welcome and introductory speech followed by the various sprints/sessions such as Building the Right Foundation; Thinking Big and Value Proposition. Post-lunch other 4 sessions have been conducted namely Assessing Market; Minimum Viable Product; Customer Development Product and Execution Modelling.

Various hands-on activities are carried out to understand, resolve and to mitigate the problems related to start-ups.

Day 2:

On the second and the last day of the program, activities completed by the participants were reviewed by Prof. Nilay Goyal and the session started with a quick recap of the first day. On this day, the sessions were designed to address the issues related to finance. Topics such as Financial Modelling, Fundable Event Timeline were covered during these sessions. The last session had 4 sprints which are most critical for any start-ups. How to get investors on the board, how to pitch to investors were exemplified by Prof. Nilay Goyal. All the teams had prepared the elevator pitch to present in front of the judges i.e Dr. Saurabh Dave and Mr. Nilay Patel. Suggestions have been given to participants by judges to improve their pitch so that they can achieve maximum investment. All the participants were appreciated with certificate for their participation, and they were introduced to the entire start-up ecosystem of Ganpat University
